Camp Cancellations & Transfer Policies

All cancellations & transfers are processed on the back-end of the registration site, please contact cse@uoguelph.ca to request a cancellation or transfer.

Cancellation

In order to receive a refund, minus a processing fee of $25.00, you must request a cancellation no later than 4 weeks prior to the first day of that camp.

  • Less than 4 weeks before but more than 2 weeks before: 50% refund
  • Less than 2 weeks before but more than 10 days before: 25% refund
  • Less than 10 days before: No refund (but you may request to transfer to a future week if the same camp program is running again & there is availability)

The refunded amount (prior to 10 days before) can either be returned directly to the card used to pay for the camp OR added to the cardholder’s Event Link profile as a credit to be used towards future activities.

Emails/refund requests will be answered from Monday – Friday, but honoured from the day they are received (including Saturday and Sunday requests). Each registration refund (regardless of timeline) is subject to the $25.00 processing fee.

Please note we do not refund missed/sick days and/or incomplete weeks.

Example of Cancellation Protocol

For example, if your child is registered for camp the week of Monday, August 5th – Friday, August 9th, here is the following protocol for cancellation:

  • Cancellation before Monday, July 8th = 100% refund (minus processing fee of $25)
  • Cancellation between Monday, July 8th – Sunday, July 21st = 50% refund
  • Cancellation between Monday, July 22nd – Thursday, July 25th  = 25% refund
  • Cancellation after Thursday, July 25th (10 days before) = No refund

Transfers

Camp transfers can be requested at no additional cost, however transfers are dependent on the availability of camps/weeks of interest.
