Club Cancellations & Refund Policies

All cancellations are processed on the back-end of the registration site, please contact cse@uoguelph.ca to request a cancellation.

Cancellation

In order to receive a full refund, minus a processing fee of $15.00, you must request a cancellation no later than two weeks prior to clubs starting.

  • Less than 2 weeks before clubs start: 50% refund
  • Within the first two weeks of clubs (weeks 1 and 2): 25% refund
  • After the second week of clubs (week 2) : No refund

The refunded amount due can either be returned directly to the card used to pay for the club OR added to the cardholder’s EventLink profile as a credit to be used towards future activities.

Emails/refund requests will be answered from Monday – Friday, but honoured from the day they are received (including Saturday and Sunday requests). Each registration refund (regardless of timeline) is subject to the $15.00 processing fee.

Please note we do not refund missed/sick days.

However, if possible, make-up days will be scheduled for club cancellations due to weather (ie snow days).

Example of Cancellation Protocol

For example, if your child is registered for a club beginning the week of February 3rd, here is the following protocol for cancellation:

  • Cancellation before Monday, January 20th = 100% refund (minus processing fee of $15.00)
  • Cancellation between Monday, January 20th – Sunday, February 2nd = 50% refund
  • Cancellation between Monday, February 3rd – Sunday, February 16th = 25% refund
  • Cancellation after Sunday, February 16th = No refund
