Testimonials:

“Every morning we were greeted by enthusiastic young adults ready to help everyone have a fabulously fun day! Our daughter came home raving about all of the amazing learning and fun she had. She kept asking why school couldn’t be like this!”

“[My daughter] says the time went by too quickly and wished the days were longer! ‘Best camp ever,’ according to her. You could sense that it was an extremely welcoming and warm environment for kids to have a good experience, and a learning one too. Thank you.”

Why All-Girls programming?  👩🏼‍💻 🧑🏽‍🔬 👩🏾‍🎓

Creative Encounters is a proud network member of Actua, Canada’s largest STEM youth outreach charity with over 41 university and college-based members across the nation. As an Actua network member, Creative Encounters aims to provide barrier-free STEM programming to all youth, featuring special initiatives targeting underrepresented groups such as girls in STEM:

Actua’s National Girls Program inspires girls and young women to fulfill their critical role as leaders in STEM. Hands-on all-girls programs encourage their engagement in STEM fields like engineering and computer science where women continue to be vastly underrepresented. These programs provide girls with safe spaces to design, build, experiment, and explore. The programs are led by female instructors, role models, and mentors who break down the still existing stereotypes about women in engineering and science.

Visit Actua’s website for more details and other STEM outreach opportunities all across Canada.
