Summer Camp Financial Assistance – 2025
Creative Encounters Camp Bursaries
New to this year, Creative Encounters will be offering Camp Bursaries to provide financial assistance towards camp registration. These bursaries will be offered on a sliding scale (10-90% registration fee coverage) and are reserved for those demonstrating financial need.
Please be advised:
- Bursaries are currently limited to one per participant per camp season
- A separate application is needed per interested participant/child
- Submitting an application does NOT guarantee the participant a bursary
To apply, please fill in the Google form linked HERE. Applications are due January 31st, 2025. All applicants will be contacted, regardless of application result, prior to general camp registration opening on February 12th, 2025.
For any assistance with Camp Bursaries, please contact Creative Encounters at cse@uoguelph.ca.
Thank you to the Guelph Community Foundation for their generous donation and helping support CE in bringing kids to camp!
Children’s Foundation – Free to Grow Program
In addition to our bursary program, Creative Encounters has partnered with The Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington to bring opportunities for financial assistance towards camp registration! This year, the financial assistance will be hosted through the Free to Grow program.
The Free to Grow Program nurtures the physical, social, emotional, and mental well-being of children and youth by funding recreational and life-skill opportunities such as sports, arts, camps, driver’s education training and leadership development.
Funding is available for families who meet all of the following guidelines:
- Have children and youth, ages 0 to 18;
- Live in Guelph and Wellington County;
- And make less than the low-income cut-off, based on their family size.

For any assistance with Free to Grow please contact Maria Fitzpatrick, Program Assistant at freetogrow@childrensfoundation.org or 519-826-9551 x 123.
Camp registration spots are unable to be held during Free to Grow application/wait period. Refund and camp transfer policies remain the same for Free to Grow applicants and can be found HERE. Creative Encounters asks that guardians wait for F2G funding approval and subsequent communication from CE prior to registering their camper for camp to avoid needing to cancel and re-register (thus avoiding the processing fee associated with a camp cancellation).
