Summer Camp Financial Assistance – 2024

Creative Encounters has partnered with The Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington to bring opportunities for financial assistance towards camp registration! This year, the financial assistance will be hosted through the Free to Grow program.

What is the Free to Grow Program?

The Free to Grow Program nurtures the physical, social, emotional, and mental well-being of children and youth by funding recreational and life-skill opportunities such as sports, arts, camps, driver’s education training and leadership development.

Funding is available for families who meet all of the following guidelines:

  • Have children and youth, ages 0 to 18;
  • Live in Guelph and Wellington County;
  • And make less than the low-income cut-off, based on their family size.

For any assistance with Free to Grow please contact Maria Fitzpatrick, Program Assistant at freetogrow@childrensfoundation.org or 519-826-9551 x 123.

Camp registration spots are unable to be held during Free to Grow application/wait period. Refund and camp transfer policies remain the same for Free to Grow applicants and can be found HERE. Creative Encounters asks that guardians wait for F2G funding approval and subsequent communication from CE prior to registering their camper for camp to avoid needing to cancel and re-register (thus avoiding the processing fee associated with a camp cancellation).
